Evergreen and Sea Glass Cabinet

This piece is honestly one of the largest pieces I have ever completed. But wow - so worth the effort!

This dated china cabinet is Henredon and quality built. My client decided on Sea Glass for the interior, and a fun pop of green on the exterior. The color is Evergreen and it happens to be one of my favorite Dixie Belle colors. I was excited to get started on this and had a good time transforming it.

The first step was a quick scuff sand. It took three coats of Evergreen to fully cover and only two coats of Sea Glass for the interior. I used clear wax to seal the outside, and I sealed the interior with a clear coat in flat.

This cabinet is used to keep all of my client’s books and will look great filled up with a ton of colored bindings! Here it is before…
