Secretary Cottage Summer Update
It has been a long, HOT summer and we have scaled back our DIY efforts at the cottage! I did finish the really tortuous job of wallpapering the stairwell. I don’t know what possessed me to think that it was a good idea to wallpaper uneven walls going up an old staircase using peel and stick, but hey…I did it!
We have hosted a crabfeast with my sister and family (actually able to host people at the cottage, which felt great!) and have purchased a few kayaks, brought our bikes and fishing poles, and we hope to have a boat by next summer. The long days are spent working on the garden in the mornings, enjoying a bike ride or taking Boone for a long walk before it gets too hot. We are meeting our neighbors, and there is a fantastic auction that I am addicted to attending every Thursday! We have drinks in the porch before dinner, and are really enjoying exploring our new town, Cambridge!
